Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council of Italy Organizes Annual Picnic, Celebrating Sylhet's Heritage

To further strengthen the social and cultural unity of Sylheti expatriates residing in Italy, the Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council, Italy, organized its annual picnic. Held in a picturesque natural setting, the event was attended by over a hundred Bangladeshi expatriates.

The event saw the participation of organization members, including President Rubel Ahmed, Vice President Jewel Ahmed, General Secretary Arif Ahmed Arfin, Assistant General Secretaries Shahin Ahmed, Abdullah Al Mamun Ripon, Niju Ahmed, Organizing Secretary Aminul Islam Russel, Treasurer Zakir Ahmed, Publicity Secretary Haider Ahmed, Sports Secretary Iqbal Hossain, International Secretary Dildar Hossain, and First Honorary Member Minhaz Hossain.

The event transformed into a joyous reunion, with Sylhet's folk music, traditional attire, and authentic food serving as special attractions.

In their speeches, the speakers said, "Even while living abroad, we have not forgotten our roots. There is no alternative to such events to preserve Sylhet's culture and heritage."

The leaders of the Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council announced that they would continue to organize such events regularly in the future so that the next generation of expatriates can stay connected to their roots. They added that this annual picnic is not just a joyful event but a powerful symbol of the unity, culture, and identity of expatriate Sylhetis.

The picnic concluded with a lottery draw among all participants, and the winners were awarded attractive prizes.
