Husband arrested for killing wife in Badalgashi

Police have arrested husband Shahid Hossain, accused of murdering a housewife named Sukhi Begum (28) in Badalgachi of Naogaon district.

The police recovered the dead body of the woman from her home on Saturday, July 1.

The killer husband Shahid Hossain is the son of Nazrul Islam of Lakshmipur village of Bilashbari union of Badalgachi upazila.

Raihan Hossain, OC (Investigation) of Badalgachi Police Station said, quoting the family, there had been trouble between them for a long time regarding various family matters. As a result of this, a fight broke out last night. At one point Shahid strangled his wife Sukhi Begum. When the matter came to light this morning, the locals informed the police. Later, around noon, the body was recovered from the spot and the accused was arrested.

The OC also said that the elder brother of the deceased has filed a murder case in the police station as the plaintiff. After recovery, the body was sent to Naogaon Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
