On the occasion of Great Independence Day, a discussion meeting, prayer and iftar mahfil was held at the initiative of Greater Noakhali Awami League in Italy.

In the meeting organized in the hall room of a local restaurant in Rome under the chairmanship of the president of the organization Abdul Majeed Babul and under the direction of the general secretary Omar Farooq Shimul, advisor Liton Hazari, Md Jabed, Rezaul Haque Mintu, Rafiqul Alam Dulal, Abdus Sattar Italy Awami League leader Kabir Hossain, senior leaders of the organization spoke.

  Honorable members of the organization Abul Ehsan Minu, Joint Secretary Arshad Hossain, Office Secretary Deen Mohammad and other leaders of the organization were present at the time.

The speakers said that the independence day under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is a history of the promise of liberation to the people of Bangladesh. To uphold this freedom gained in exchange of the blood of lakhs of martyrs, the country should be more vocal against the opposition.

At the end of the discussion, special prayers and prayers were offered for the souls of all the martyrs including Bangabandhu.
