A rally of the landless was held in Pirganj

With the promise of 'Mujib centenary pledge, establish the right of the homeless and landless people to special land', a meeting of the landless people was held in Pirganj of Thakurgaon on the issue of land rights and agricultural land reform.

The rally was held at the Union Parishad Chattar on Sunday afternoon organized by Sengao Union Landless Coordination Parishad. Chairman of Landless Coordination Council Jalal Uddin spoke in the meeting, Chairman of Sengao Union Saidur Rahman, President of Pirganj Press Club Zainal Abedin Babul, Regional Coordinator of CDA Kawsarul Alam, Upazila Landless Coordination Council Chairman Avinash Chandra Roy etc.

In the meeting, the members of the public organization presented a memorandum to the Union Parishad Chairman with 3 points of demand. More than one and a half hundred landless women and men participated in the rally.
