Imamate is a very honorable and noble profession -Dr. Abu Reza Nadvi MP
Nurul Kabir Arman,
Special Representative:
Chittagong-15 (Satkania-Lohagara) seat Hon'ble Member of Parliament Prof. Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin Nadvi said that Imamate is a very honorable and noble profession. Rasulullah (peace be upon him) has been the Imam of the mosque for life. He not only confined the Nawabi to prayers in the mosque, but also made it open to all activities for the betterment of the society. So if we can build each mosque as a role model of the Prophet in the mosque shown by the Prophet, then our society will be enlightened in the light of education, illiteracy will be removed from the society, it will be possible to conduct mass welfare work in the society. He also said that Imams should also be honest, pious, pious and God-fearing. Because the common people follow the Imams, take their advice and try to follow it. He said imams have a significant role to play in transforming the society into a degraded society, religious discipline and people. If the imams and khatibs of the mosques are widely involved in the development of human resources, the socio-economic condition of the country including eradication of illiteracy, prevention of drug addiction, prevention of violence against women and children, protection of environment, animal husbandry, fish farming can be achieved. To that end, the Islamic Foundation is training the Imam-Khatibs of the country's mosques through the Imam Training Academy. He said the nationalist Bangabandhu has taken great initiative in establishing Islamic values in the state through the establishment of Islamic Foundation. Following in her father's footsteps, Bangabandhu's daughter Jannetri Sheikh Hasina has made the activities of the Islamic Foundation more dynamic.
He made the remarks while addressing a function to distribute certificates among the 1056th group of trained Imams at the Imam Training Academy Chittagong Auditorium at Pahartali on Sunday (March 20) at 12 noon.
Mr. Mohammad Touhidul Anwar, Director, Islamic Foundation Chittagong Divisional Office was the special guest at the certificate distribution ceremony presided over by Mr. Mohammad Idris, Deputy Director, Imam Training Academy, Chittagong.
