Injured 4 in a horrific road accident on Bhanga-Mawa highway in Faridpur

A total of 4 passengers of a motorcycle and 4 passengers of a microbus were seriously injured in a three-way collision between a drum truck, a microbus and a motorcycle near Maligram passenger camp on Bhanga-Mawa highway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur. They were rescued and taken to hospital.

The accident took place near Maligram flyover on Bhanga-Mawa Highway at 5 pm on Saturday (February 5).

Witnesses said that at around 5:30 pm, a microbus carrying two passengers from Mawa Ghat reached Muksud near Maligram flyover. At that moment, an unidentified drum truck hit the microbus from behind. The microbus overturned and crashed into the left side of the road, completely crushing the motorcycle and its occupants. The locals rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Their condition is said to be critical.

Upon receiving the news, the police led by Sergeant Maidul Islam of Shibchar Highway Police rushed to the spot, removed the microbus and the motorcycle and took it to the police station.
