Italian BNP issues memorandum to Italian Foreign Ministry demanding Khaleda Zia's medical treatment

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Italy branch is holding a human chain and issuing a memorandum in Italy demanding release of sick BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and taking her abroad for treatment.
Leaders and activists of the party held a sit-in on the side of the road in front of the Foreign Ministry office in Rome.
Leaders and activists gathered at the rally which started at 9 am and chanted slogans like 'I want release, I want release, I want release of Khaleda Zia'.
At the beginning of the meeting, chaired by Italian BNP President Haji Abdur Razzak and General Secretary Shah Md. Touhid Quader, the speech was addressed by co-presidents Hasanuzzaman Kamrul, Humayun Kabir, Ed. Kamruzzaman, Masum Billah, Joint General Secretary Abul Kalam Simon, Organizing Secretary, Kamruzzaman Ratan, Co-Organizing Secretary Abdul Mannan Hira, SM Emdadul Haque Azad, Human Rights Secretary Mridha Chunnu, Expatriate Welfare Secretary Swapan Mahmud, Firens BNP Alam Bhuiyan Sagar, Geneva BNP President Kalam Faraji, General Secretary Nazmul Bepari, Juba Dal Italy Branch President Zakir Hossain Gani, Senior Joint General Secretary Jahangir Alam, Publicity Secretary Masum Billah, Labor Party President Nurul Abshar,
Co-operative Affairs Secretary Rahim Ullah, International Affairs Secretary Siraj Ullas Panchayat, Co-Information Research Secretary Rafiq Ullah and leaders of BNP affiliated organizations.
Meanwhile, the leaders said, "BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is in a critical condition at the Evercare Hospital where she is fighting for her life and death. But this government is not giving him that (foreign) treatment till now. Today, this memorandum and human chain program is to demand the implementation of the request made by the Italian BNP to take medical treatment of our leader abroad.
The leaders also said that we believe in democracy and if Khaleda Zia is not sent abroad for her release and treatment, we will peacefully take our people along and release our leader.
Note: Khaleda Zia is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka. 6-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various complications including arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney and lung problems for a long time.
He is now in the CCU of the hospital with high blood pressure and diabetes out of control and fever.
