Torture Ruhul (34), the mastermind of torturing and cutting the hair of a well-known Mithun-Shyamoli couple in Mahadevpur of Naogaon district, has been arrested by RAB.

19 days after the case, RAB arrested him from Rajshahi and handed him over to Mahadevpur police station at 2pm on Saturday. He is the son of late Abul Kalam of Dakshin Hossainpur Boalmari junction of the upazila.

According to a press release issued by RAB-5 on Saturday afternoon, September 11, members of RAB-5, CPC-3, Joypurhat camp arrested Tariqul Islam, one of his accomplices and the second accused in the torture case, from the area adjacent to Ruhul's house in Mahadevpur on Wednesday night. . According to his information, members of RAB-5, CPSC, Mollapara camp of Rajshahi arrested him from Ruhul's father-in-law's house near Azir Mor Shahi Mosque in Boalia upazila of Rajshahi metropolis on Friday, September 10 at 2 am.

 Mahadevpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azam Uddin Mahmud said he was sent to Naogaon Court this afternoon. Investigating officer SI Shaminul Islam said an application would be made to the court to remand Ruhul for 10 days. A press release issued by the RAB said that after the incident of torture of the Mithun-Shyamoli couple was reported in the media, there was a stir in the area and the RAB rushed to arrest them. Accused Ruhul's boiler was often used for drug and sex activities. Ruhul used to deliver drug consignments to different places using his private car. He had to be tortured for opposing these actions. It was also mentioned that many people were taken hostage in drug halls.
